last svx w/ less than 10,000 miles? - Page 2

Not to spoil all the fun, but.........
Earlier this month (March) I had my car in the dealer getting some suspension work done and there was a red '96 LSI with around 8,600 miles on it. The mechanic said that it sits in the garage so much that the battery always goes dead and that was why it was there. It was in Natrona Heights, PA at the Bouchat Subaru dealer.

i am okay to hear that there may be an svx with less mileage. it keeps the pressure off me to try and keep miles off of it. i may even decide to put into daily driver service.

and i had to replace my battery a few months ago for the same reason.

What happened to the one that was posted on ebay several times about a year and a half ago? The 97 that had sat at a dealer all these years and they were finally selling it, I think it had less than 100 miles on it and the reserve price was like $40,000 or something. It finally sold, and I think the buyer posted here a couple times.

I'm pretty sure anyone buying under those conditions wasn't going to be putting many miles on it, so there is a good bet that it is still possibly even below 5000 miles even.

I thought the dealer wanted $50K..? Yeah, it was up on eBay for a while...I thought he got it like half of the dealer wanted?

Call him, PM him....ask him what's his mileage now?

it was at the same dealership i purchased mine at in colorado. i called about another one they had listed on auto trader and was told about the new one. at the time it had 125 miles and had never been titled. they were asking $37k for it.

additionally, one of our local guys has been in contact with the purchaser. last i heard, it had over 20,000 miles on it.

On eBay, they wanted $50K. The seller replied my e-mail said $50K. Oh he managed to get it for $29K.

thanks for posting a link to these threads. he doesn't seem to spend all his time here like me. i may have to PM him and find out the mileage.

also, i didn't know shortline was asking $50k for it. if i had know they would have let it go for $29k, i would have considered it a little harder than i did for $37k. oh well.
