<<Now, can someone tell me how to get the cover off of the lamps at the roofline for the map lights? I really dont want to screw that up when I attempt to change those illuminating switch lamps.

I just re-did mine (the back-light bulbs). I buy those little 'grain of wheat' bulbs at Radio Shack for about $2/pr. , peel the little green condoms off the bulb and then re-thread a new bulb into the same holes on the bulb holder.

There's mainly one trick to getting the roof cluster loose-

There are a couple of screws buried under the lenses that attach the assembly to the 'roof'. Once you have undone them, it pretty much drops loose (except for the wiring harnesses - x2).

Good Luck.

Thanks Mark. I was a little hesitant about attacking this project. I really didn't want to mess up the headliner.
