Yes, I heard about it . I'm saddened by it. I did find out what the "gravel hitting the car" noise is. I mounted a small American flag on the car phone antenna. I installed it by cinching 3 wire ties around the wooden flag pole and the antenna. These have loosened slightly allowing the wooden pole to tap against the antenna. With the driver's window closed it sounds like it's coming from the left rear wheel well. With the window open, it sounds like it's coming from the left side of the roof which is exactly where my car phone antenna is located. On another note; the small American flag is deteriorating quickly. Can anyone (one-of -the few-the-proud) tell me the proper disposal technique for an American flag ? Thanks. Larry III |

proper disposal technique for an American flag
Larry & All,
Please contact your local VFW (Vetrans of Forgien Wars) or Another Organization you may have locally for more information. Usually on Memorial day they will have a flag cerimony for those people wishing to properly dispose of their rapidly deteriating flags. Thanks for checking and not just thowing it away. On a side note the only proper placement of an american flag on a vechile is the right front corner of the vehicle and must be attached firmly as to NOT fall off. Ciao Wayne I will see if I can find the proper procedures for the cerimony and post them. I have never actually done one. |
