Re the Autocross on Sunday, I finished third in class. My son, Tom, (in the Focus SVT) ekked out a 44.6 sec run compared to my 45.1 sec (BUT I even beat the Cobra SVT, supercharged, but he was on street tires and the course was tight). And of course, my buddy in the 3 Series BMW beat both of us at 44.3 sec. The Fastest Time of the Day was a Mercedes AMG SLK 32 - he only has 300 HP at the rear wheels! He turned in a 43.8 sec!!!!!!!!! And as you know, a tenth of a sec is forever in autocross! Overall, we had a great day - and NOW I have new race tires. My old race tires (used Sunday) had two seasons of autocross on them and were worn out. Got the new ones mounted and balanced yesterday.
