A guy drooling,,,

Well first off, Happy fathers day to everyone who happens to be a dad and reading this.

So anyway i had to wake up real early today on my day off to get a Scandisk for a camra that a guy bought from me yesterday. Well turns out that i didnt have to go there after all. After i already was there . Anyway on my way home i see this real nice WRX. Real clean too. It was the last gen with the circle headlights, Silver with gold 18" rims and the WRX bodykit from Subaru. As i looked at his car i noticed he was looking at mine...... With his jaw droped
God i love when people do that. Even at work i sometimes see people just starring at it and checkin out the windows. And i love when people ask me what kind of car it is and i tell em.
"Its a subaru." < yea thats how i look like when i drive too.

Ahh c'mon thats gotta mean something. I had a Viper owner tell me "Your car looks cool, but i'd still kick your ass." But other than that i love most people's responses. Havent had any kids my age tell me anything yet. But most of the kids on block are WAY to in the Bling bling thing. One guy has 26" rims on a 86 Cutlas!

mmm, just wondering, can't the Ecu Tune stage III setup... kick that Viper's ass? or is it a long shot???
Maybe stealing the Impreza with the SVX engine, pulling it out and installing it again in our car, can it make a difference?

To answer that particular question NO! He has a Viper GTS. But then again the Viper GTS rivals the Supra turbo... And if im not mistaken the Supra
rivals the SVX. And the SVX rivals 300ZX turbo I remember i saw an article about it in Car and Driver. So maby its not such a long shot after all

you cannot rival a naturally aspirated car with a turbo car. in my opinion, in terms of power, the SVX should rival the Non turbo 3000GT. 300ZX and the Supra.
concerning the Viper GTS, i guess this car has a V10 developing around 500HP ? (i dunno exactly how much, but somewhere b/w 400 and 550?), as for our SVX, it is an H-6 but with the Stage III Ecutune setup, i guess it must reach that level of performance...

Um the 300zx and 3000gt are no match for the SVX. Take a pretty much stock 300zx or 3000gt N/A 5mt and then put them on the line with my or any other 5mt SVX and watch them get blown away. My brother's best time with an N/A motor mostly stock was 15.1. Mine so far being a 14.8 with many other owners having better times that myself. The N/A 300zx has 4.18 gearing also giving it a slightly higher ratio but allowing it to cruize at about almost identical rpms as my car.

Wow... I really hope you're kidding.

Stock:

SVX = 3000GT N/A = 300ZX NA < Supra N/A < 3000GT VR-4 < 300ZX TT =< Supra TT << Viper GTS

You've gotta be crazy to compare a 230 hp 3600 lb boat (more like a yacht) with a 450 hp 3100 lb beast with more than double the displacement. I say 4000 awhp minimum to match that car in best case, and 500 awhp worst, depending on how much of a diet you put the SVX on.

Putting an MT in an SVX might get it past its N/A Japanese rivals like the 3000GT and 300ZX, but then you're not comparing on a level plane.

My '95 nearly took a N/A 5mt 300ZX. He slowly started to catch up to me at about 50-60mph. Im sure the '92 would have had no problem doing it.

p.s. this was not tested on the street

And to answer Silverspears question, the Viper GTS' 8.0lt V10 makes 400bhp and 465flbs
