uh oh...i didn't use the quote mechanism built into this forum's features..

Secondly, if you had read the story, what it said was that Mac users generally have MORE education than PC users, and make more money. Both of which go hand in hand with being more intelligent. I delivered proof. --Rob

you did say that both go hand in hand, more education = more money = more intelligent = mac user. that's the point you seem to be making.

The point was I believe Mac users are generally more intelligent than the average PC user. --Rob

ah..i see, that's your BELIEF. unfortunately your belief doesn't have anything concrete to support it . so it's like believing in god. some believe in god, some don't. neither is better than the other.

Aw shucks, Aredub, I think I'm gonna' get all choked up.

Oh....what did you say about preparing 'possum? Was it "Skin it first, then boil for 30 minutes a pound"?, or was it "Parboil first, then skin, IF any skin's left after the asphalt draggin'"
I defer to your expertise in matters of vermin cuisine.

I prefer to parboil first. That way, the possum bloats all up, and when you go to skin 'im, it's easy -- like takin' off a coat.

But, that's just my preference. Those who don't parboil are generally less intelligent.

Many thanks for all of your help. I think I now where I went wrong and how to correct it I will try to put the corrected movie on my webspace in the morning when I have sobered up a little.

For any other idiots using one of those crappy pc thingies with MM2, this site is a brilliant reference.

Wow, that is a nice site. Not that I have the capacity to learn anything from it.

I look forward to seeing the corrected movie, Andy.

OK folks, the corrected movie is now up & running (same link)

FYI, I had the import ratio on MM2 set at 4:3. To change it to 16:9 means going deep into the program, but I found it in the end. I now have to wipe my HD and reload 6 DV tapes ot edit a shed-load of stuff.

Awesome, Andy - I'm glad you figured it out. Good job!

My wife says she's visited the area in your video. She said it's absolutely beautiful. Someday I'll have to see it for myself.

Judging people

All I gotta say is this;
The majority of people who have judged me, have been so far from reality its not even funny. People see me daily as a security guard and think all I am good for is checking doors and fire panels. I get talked down to on a near daily basis. Sometimes while passing server rooms I hear the rude comments under peoples breaths and I am forced to speak up. When I am finished, I make sure they are fully aware that ‘judging’ people is like rating a book by only glancing its cover. I let then know that “yea, a trained monkey can check locked doors and look and lights on a fire panel” but can they explain the operation of the tumblers in the lock mechanism, the operational functions of the fire panel and the principals of all the logic and basic electronics behind it? I then assure them of my additional knowledge of advanced physics, my goal to finish my degree, and make understand that while they are ‘high dollar administrators for servers feeding 300+ people” I run and maintain an active server that feeds over 1000 people all over the world for free. And if they didn’t like anything I had to say, I was going to shove their high dollar network storage raid arrays so far up their arses that the doctors will need to use the connecting fiber optical transport cables to pull them out.

Arg!
