99 Legacy 5speed?

I have a 1999 Legacy GT manual tranmission sitting in my garage. Wondering if i can transplant that into my svx (later in life). What are all the parts i need exactly?
I have the transmission, hydralic clutch stuff, shifter, drive shaft, rear differental.
Or should i just try to sell it?

Mods (in order of install)- K&N air filter, ECUtune stage 1v.4, Alternator mod, removed intake resonator, B&M Supercooler, Window Tint, JDM Emblem, Hid Kit 5000K.

First and foremost we need to figure out whether it will bolt to the eg33. The distance between the mated tranny and rear diff may also be different from the Legacy, rendering the driveshaft useless.

My original SVX manual conversion was with a 99 Legacy GT transmission. The biggest annoyances will be getting the pedals installed properly and 4.11 gears put in the rear differential.

2000 Specialized RockHopper A1 FS, converted to singlespeed 36:15.

I like my cars with too many gears and my bikes with too few...

The driveshaft will not fit, but the other parts will fit. You'll have to get one of the driveshafts (either the one in your SVX now, or the Legacy one) lengthened or shortened.

Any ej series trannie will bolt to the eg33.

Correct, it must be lenthened about 2 inches... Along with the shifter linkage... The 99 GT tranny is about the same (If not identical) to the 2.5 RS tranny... If I were you, I'd just sell that tranny and the rest of the Legacy parts and get a WRX tranny They are alot easier to do an install into an SVX....

The tranny will bolt in the same. The WRX tranny saves you needing to do anything to the rear diff and the WRX pedals are almost bolt-in.
