Be there, be square!! We need you there, Ron!!

Ron,
You can have my slot -- I've had enough "family stuff" come up that having the SVX up and running and getting out to Winchester isn't realistic.

Provided I can:
A: Talk my wife into letting me go
B: Get up at 5am to drive the 150 miles South.

I'm there. Bill you must get that thang up and running by then.

And I'll be yelling, "Faster, Bill. Faster!" No, that's what she said, so I couldn't say that, could I?

Well unless I irritate my wife in the next 36 hours I'll be there ... What is the weather to be like down yonder. Chance of rain and the 3 H's around here. There isn't a chance they'd cancel unless there is a thunderstorm right.

Looking forward to seeing part of the SVX autox crew in action. Ron you'll either want to lay off the wine or drink more. I'm not sure which to ensure you make it there. Should be there between 7-7:45 depending on drive time.

benebob,

Glad you are coming! We hold the autocross rain or shine (ah, the beauty of AWD!!), but we cease activities if there is lightning. Thunderstorms are not good in flat open areas - a parking lot.

As for the forecast Sunday, it is suppose to be a bit cloudy and about 82 degrees - of course this is subject to change . I would love to be a weather man

Looking forward to seeing you there!!

Harry

I doubt I'll bring the SVX down as I'm trying to get by another year with the current tires for inspection which is due in August. The XT has some definate tire spin issues with rain with my Falkens so I'm hoping for some dry stuff. See ya Sunday!

I had a great time! For anyone who is interested in trying autoxing in the area this would be a great opp. EVERYONE was friendly, EVERYONE was helpful. EVERYONE was there simply to have fun. Those who have autoxed at some of the SCCAs and like can probably attest that it is a very intimitating experience for most beginners. Not so here! I'm not saying it isn't competative as it is but it is definately a group that is more helpful and friendly. I highly recommend. Plus it is always nice to see so fellow SVXers at an event. I'd like to thank Harry for convincing me to get up at 4:30am on a Sunday as well as the Mercedes Club for putting on a great event!

So, it wasn't raining in Winchester? I got an email from two MB members in which they said they turned around on I66 because the rain there kept getting harder the farther west they went...
Glad you had a good time!
