Don,

Now that you & Jean have 8 cats, it's time for a second SVX.

Leave the one with Beav - we know he'll take good care of it!) and drive the other one to Winchestee. See, that wasn't so hard, was it? Ron will even share his "box o'wine"........

So now that we have figured it out for you, we'll see you there?

BTW, for all that will be attending, I think I have a nice drive through the hills of western VA for us planned. Just have to watch out for the deer and dears ....... I'm thinking of about a two hour drive Sat afternoon - sound about right?
Harry
Not as easy as that, Harry. I know my butt's big, but it won't spread across two lanes of traffic for the two hour drive to Louisville. Then there's the 11 Hours to Winchester (give or take). I was gonna leave REALLY early on Saturday (will have to leave at 6:30 my time, anyway, to get to Beav's). Oh well. Next time . .. maybe.

A member of that other SVX site contacted me about the Winchester meet. He had heard about it but no particulars.

His name is Alex and he will be showing up tomorrow at Shoneys. I think he has a 1992 black one.

Back home again

Just got home...via Krogers for some supplies...smooth sailing all the way, but I'm glad I wasn't heading NORTH on I-81....the traffic in that direction this evening was thick as fleas on a hound dog.

What fun! Jean and I had a great time seeing all our friends again and watching some COOL machinery autocrossing the devil out of a high school parking lot. I'm here to tell you that Harry is THE MAN....defending our SVX honor against all the kiddies in their WRX's....not to mention a FLEET of other speedy machines.
I got a new digital camera on Friday, and had to use it TODAY, so I put it in "idiot" mode and got some decent shots. Now all I have to do is figure out how to get them on to the club site.
Anyway, I was still battling the end of a two week battle with an upper respiritory infection, so I had to go to bed with the chickens last night and couldn't "hoot" with the rest of the guys. Speaking of a hoot, wait till everyone finds out about Ron....Ron and the WAITRESS.....Ron and the waitress at the Italian eatery.
BUT THERE IS MORE....Harry has pictures!
I hope our late arrival didn't mess up the plans too bad. Harry said that we didn't, but he is such a gentleman. Anyway, great to see everyone, and we pray everyone gets home A. O.K. More later..... Don

Randy: Ya shoulda been there!

Don.
Glad you and Jean made it back okay. I have heard from John - he and Ron got back okay as well. Hope Mike (RUFUS) and Sue also got home okay and Mike (NUBS) as well on Sat (Mike could only make it for Sat).
Folks, I had a grand time - this was a great "mini-Meet". So good to get together with good friends. Thanks too for the support at autocross. BTW, I got my time down on the second run to 55.5 sec, but could not quite get to the VW GTI which has 55.2 sec. And I knew I wouldn't catch the 3 series BMW (Bill Brochu), but gosh, we did have fun! And to give all an idea how well WRX's run, Gonso in his beautiful blue WRX had a best time of 53.8 sec. VERY fast car! Keep in mind that the Mustang Cobra had Best time of the day for the course at 52 sec flat. A VERY, VERY fast car.
Anyway, a great time, and thanks to Don and Jean; John; Ron; Mike and Sue; Mike; and Alex and Jan (they came by on Sat from Maryland) for coming. Can't wait until March!

And yes, I have pics of Ron!!!! They WILL be posted, Ron!
Harry

No you don't, Harry, because I stole your camera & gave it 30 seconds in the microwave at the Mobile (Eat here & get gas) station. Bwaaaahahahahahah!

Choir-boy, Ron.
