UK cars are glass and have the motor level adjustment feature. Where can I get some of those German covers from then ? (and dont some smartie say 'from Germany !'  )

There must be more of the covers out there, I have some Canadian ones even though we have plastic lenses.

You could probably install such a system from a different car with the same difficulty. A volvo/benz/bmw, etc. If someone wants to go for it, I'd be happy to help out with the wiring type stuff that people often have a problem with. Cutting the hole in the bumper is up to you though...

I think I'm going to pass on the glass ones, it'll be impossible to find them and if I do they'll cost a small fortune. I am interested in the clear JDM corners however so if anyone has a nice set that (I'm assuming) will match up just as well with my US headlights, drop me a PM. Thanks.

Hey guys, sorry for bringing another thread from the dead. I was just tackling the headlights project with all the parts I got years ago from all over the World. I was curious about one thing, in this picture you can see two headlights, one glass and the other plastic. I acquired the glass one from UK whereas the plastic one is a standard USDM headlight.
The dispersion pattern of both headlights is identical. How could that be? Am I missing something here?

The difference is only in the projectors. There's something inside the projector that creates a light pattern that flairs up on the right, in the USDM lights, while the JDM, European (and I think the AUS and NZ) flair up on the left.
I have the UK lights on my Pearlie and my Black Beauty had the standard USDM light (but with SmallCar lenses).

The headlight assemblies are the same. There are internal adjusters (you have to remove the lens to get to them) with alignment marks that designate DOT, EUR, or JPN. The German lights have the mounting inside for the fog lamp and adjuster since they also share the same housing with the rest of the world.
The glass/plastic lens does direct peripheral light, but the main focus is controlled by the internal settings. .
