power seat removal

wonder if anyone can help (or has done this)
is there any way a power seat (drivers, RHD) can be moved back so I can get to the frame bolts
- car is a parts car and have no power - or can I get it to move back if I plug in a power source somewhere

cheers
bruce

Re: power seat removal

A quick use of the search function would give you a faster answer regarding this.

Theres a small bolt that can be removed to disengage the seat from the motor.

Re: power seat removal

Bruce,

I dummied up a replacement plug that I hardwired to a battery.

Works fine.

M

*Dumb question, but is the car too far stripped to just hookup a battery? Seat doesn't need ignition power to work, just battery hooked up.

the car was heavily damaged, the battery area and fuse box became part of the crumple zone - no way any accessories were going to work.
Seat was so far forward, trouble was getting hand in there to remove the plastic covers, then used 2 socket extensions and a uni and got the front bolts out
even found 50 cents in change for my trouble!
thanks for the pic svxcess, the seats are so low and being so far forward, i could not see the 2nd bolt, but the picture definitely helped

cheers
