twin turbo Ver2

Ok, since working on various turbocharged engine configurations..
i've given new thought to the twin turbo svx... seeing snowmobiles running an Aerocharger setup, which is self lubricated. Eliminating the need for external oil supply, so the twin turbos could be mounted off the headers in the front or twards the rear of the engine bay! only problem left is the piping for the Charge air, and the exhaust! what do you guys think about that setup?

Re: twin turbo Ver2

I thought this company went out of business a few years back. I am glad to see they are still around. Three very good ideas in one product. I thought there were some issues with longevity in the past, though.

Re: twin turbo Ver2

Wow, you really would have to go twins, though, unless you want to spend $2500 for one big(ger) turbo that would barely get you to 350hp. I could be happy with 350hp, personally, but it looks questionable weather or not you could get that. I will have to investigate the possibilities the maps for the twins offer. Since my turbo aspirations are looking more and more like dreams at the moment, may as well dream of the best.

Re: twin turbo Ver2

Yep very much still around and providing turbos for lots of stuff!! i've often though of putting one on my stand up jet ski, the 66 series should be enough for the 1.6ltr per side of the svx engine.. by no means is this a "budget" turbo system, just thinking about this different way of doing twins on our engines. i don't know the history of the chargers or how long they do last, but i've seen guys on the mountains that have had them for years and years without problems.
