tranny question
ok guys, i have most all parts for the 5spd conversion, but not going to start it for a few weeks, i was wondering, is there something i can do to get a few more weeks out of the auto...here are the symptoms, 1st is fine, shifts kinda hard goining into second, 3rd...well, lets say i need to have about 6500 rpms to get into 3rd, same goes for fourth, could it be something simple?? or is it toast, fluid is full, thats all ive checked??

What to do
Unless you are going on the highway you can drive it the way it is. While waiting for my dealer to realize they couldn't get a rebuilt tranny for a 95 I drove mine to and from work with just 1st and 2nd. Just make sure you keep your RPMs below around 4k for most of the time and make sure your temp gauge stays okay. I woulnd't recommend any real highway trips but your engine should be strong enough to handle that kind of driving.
