What is the offset? Remember that you need to consider that.

Just to be safe which offsets are safe for the SVX? I am going to be looking to get a new set of rims soon as the salt is starting to ruin my current set of konig traffiks. Will be looking to keep the stock 16's because my tires are still great and i don't want to spend money on new tires.

No way to have a true deep dish rim on an SVX. The SVX offset is way too high. You can do a faux deep dish though. The Rota D2 is a good example of a faux deep dish that would work on an SVX. Its available in offsets as high as 48 mm:

Rota Wheels
The D2 meets your criteria except for the diameter. If you insist on maintaining a 16" diameter, however, your options become somewhat limited. I was able to find a 16" Rota in a 8" width w/proper offset- the SLIPSTREAM. I think it's a pretty good lookin' wheel, has a faux deep dish look and may meet your needs. I'd be interested in what these wheels weigh. And they come in a bunch of different colors. Go to the Rota site and check it out...
http://www.rotawheels.com/products.php?id=44 Another wheel that you may like better is made by ROH, the Drift R. It has a nice faux deep dish look but you'll have to step up to 17 or 18" diameter. Check out the thread on WHEELS THAT WILL FIT SVX in Mod Mania. Just what you're lookin' for. Hope this is helpful, WGJ Last edited by WGJ; 03-11-2006 at 12:26 AM. |
