Who's up for reviving an old post? Premium Gas in my area is $2.39/ gallon. It has been relatively stable for the past 3 weeks. Any fluctuations for others?

Our gas around here dropped by about $0.10 in one day. Prices are still sky high, but at least they're starting to move in the right direction again!

-Chike

P.S. We're at $1.87 for regular now.

Do you think it's more cost effective to buy low octane petrol and bottles of fuel additives than it is to just buy higher octane?

No but the gas companies won't be gettin a dime. =D

Gah. Edit: I mean just dump in 18 gallons of booster and additive, not low octane "petrol".

18 gallons of booster at an estimated price of $3/500ml will cost you over $400. That's even more expensive than English Petrol.

What do you think the additives are made of? Most industrial organic chemicals are extracted from crude oil. So the oil companies will get your dime. (or rather 4000 of them).
