Lately I've been very very interested in trying this swap. I'm going to have to put some serious consideration into whether or not I feel mechanically confident for the job, but if I do it, I'm sure everyone here will know about it.

Heck, perhaps I'll even document the whole thing with pics and all! Or maybe I'm just dreaming...

yet more changes

I think this might be version 1.0 (or just as likely I'm delusional). Fixed typos, added stuff, etc.

Anyway, it's now broken into three sections of 264Kbytes, 1030Kbytes, and 1417Kbytes, respectively.

1 - general info and troubleshooting - I added stall testing, time lag test, in-car servicing (valve body, solenoids)...

2 - removal & disassembly

http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/files/lee/17810.pdf

3 - assembly, component diagrams, tips & credits

I have to stop for a while, to get my compulsive side under control if nothing else. Hope this is helpful to someone out there, but even if not, I learned a bunch...which was pretty much the point all along - helping anyone else was icing on the cake.

edit: v1.2, fixed some typos and layout and some table errors - links updated, etc

For anyone who wanted this info, I have now posted a version 1.2, with more typos fixed, some reformatting, etc.

Sizes changed a bit (part 1 & 2 bigger, part 3 smaller). I used Microsoft Word 2003 and Adobe Acrobat 5 to produce the product vice Word XP and Adobe Acrobat 4 on the last version - hope that doesn't hurt anyone.

I believe I fixed the links above to the new version...old one deleted.
