Drivers seat travel

The drivers seat in my 92 has stopped moving forward/backward. It still moves up and down and tilts, so there is power to the switch. There is nothing but silence when you actuate the switch to adjust fore/back. I suspect bad wiring connection or bad motor, any other ideas or advice in how to fix it?

Have you checked the track to make sure nothing has gotten in it to stop the movement? (like a mouse or other long rodent with big ears)

I would avoid the holding of spare change in your pockets. The rails are precisely the correct size for quarter to fall in

My driver's seat stopped rolling, but it did it in a way so that I couldn't remove the seat. I found myself under the seat with a couple of dentist-style picks, removing about $1.30 in change. Took about 2 hours.

aha, i wondered where that roll of quarters went....I would have expected the motor to make some sort of noise of the track was jammed, i guess it is time to use that folding mirror that I bought for christmas...
thanks for the suggestions.

I wouldn't know about the motor, as mine is not powered.

I gotta tell you though, that is the hardest I've ever had to work for a buck. Especially when I could have been working, makin' about $40 for that amount of time! Geez. Someone needs to make little plastic guards for the rails.

Mine stopped working too, it took me around 5 hours to get the set off, found .50 cents. Than it turned out to be a alternator.
