We used to get a half-day on Good Friday, until the merger. We decided to trade it for the half-day Christmas Eve. So, now we have all day Christmas Eve and NO Good Friday holiday. It was good news/bad news. Bad news in that I didn't get time off on Good Friday, but, good news in that it saved me from having to take a half-day vacation on Christmas Eve.

Enjoy your time off, eh.

I'm off too, until next tuesday... then I leave for Reading on Wednesday after work... Drive to Charlotte to see one of my Chicks ... Then continue to Greensboro, NC to see my Grandparents... Then Thursday morning I go to Raleigh, NC to pickup Nick (Frined that's coming to Reading w/ me)... And we leave for Reading on Friday at 1pm... See ya'll up there!!!

Verizon. after retirements and transfers, our dept. is stretched pretty thin. i shouldn't even BE THERE, because i was force-transferred from a job i really liked to the Network Control Center. it goes to arbitration this month, so hopefully i'll get back to where i was originally, and i can be a lot less miserable.
