The car company that I like the least is Toyota. Yes I said Toyota. I know, I know everyone raves about them but I had 2 Toyotas that were definitely not even up to Ford or GM build quality. I must be the exception that proves the rule. It was 15 years between Toyotas for us, and we will never, ever buy another one. Did I mention never. Don't get Rosie started on this topic. She will cuss them out vehemently.
Mitsubishi is second on my list because of tranny problems I had with the '88 Galant Sigma. Every 60k miles the 4EAT tranny would die like clock work. They stood by me and replaced the original one for free, and I paid half for the third one at 120k miles. When the third one started to slipat 180k miles, I got rid of the car. That's about all I can personally comment on.

1. Daimler-Chrysler - What a messed up company. That merger was like the blind leading the blind. A company that sucks at building engines merged with *SURPRISE* another company that sucks at building engines.
2. Ford - This company gets number two instead of number one because of it's heritage. Other than that, what is there to say? 3. VW/Audi - Yet another overpriced, underbuilt car line. Too many of these around these days. I have to mention that in many cases I agree with some of the people that have put GM on the list. Especially if you did it because of Buick and/or Oldsmobile. Niether of those brands were created with an image, nor do they really have a place in today's market. Years ago they fit right in, but I think soon Buick will fall the way Oldsmobile did. But Saturn? I don't know about that. Think about it for a minute. They are the only American car company that has managed to avoid the "stigma" of an American company. The company is only about 12 years old and their cars already hold better resale value than Hyundai, which has been around for what, 20 years? That's quite an accomplishment. They've obviously got something going. |

1) Ford Motor Company
i just cannot stand how they've spread their fingers into the operations of what used to be good imports.. mazda's used to be cool, now they just LOOK cool... the new "cheap" jaguar looks WAY too much like an old Taurus sedan.. 2) VW Auto Group yes, including lambroghini.. again, i feel like the identity of this italian supercar has been ripped away by a german group with their eye on the bottom line.. and every VW/Audi i've driven has felt soggy, disconnected, and slow. 3) GM/Damlier-Chrysler can you tell i'm pi**ed off at "congolmerate automotive?" -adam |

All right.....Right now I would pick.
#1 Daimler Chrysler/ Mitsubishi Are they even really separate car companys anymore? Cheap, leaky, prematuryly wearing out crap. #2 Ford There trucks start rusting in half in the first 2 years and everything else blows head gaskets and trannys. #3 Anything Euro VW, BMW, MB, Range Rover and what ever other crap comes from over there. Oh yeah Volvo

One was a re-badged Toyota Corolla, Holden called it a Nova. The other good Holden was a Holden Apollo, originally this car without the re-badging was called a Toyota Camry. Other than those two I can't think of one that would compare with a motor car Kenn BTW The latest Ford XR6's and XR8's look like real cool cars. Must try and get a drive of one of them |
