Re: any 5x114.3 8in wide fit?

you can, but you'll have to be selective on tire size, there was a member who had 18x8

Re: any 5x114.3 8in wide fit?

These are 18X8 with 235/40R18 and have plenty of clearence all the way to the bumpstops. This is both wider and taller than stock in the tire. The rim IIRC is a +48 offset and looks like you could make it work with a 40 offset if you were conservative on tire selection as I tried a 8mm spacer in the front briefly. This is why the older mustang rims fit decent.

The current Mustang GT seems to have switched to a deeper offset so these rims should be even better. Just have to watch as they have some seriously wide versions.

XT6wagon: I was looking at some old svt cobra rims that were 17x8 do you think those would fit?

Re: any 5x114.3 8in wide fit?

If you do some searched you will find members have used a variety of wheel sizes (diameter and width) and tire sizes. I've used up to a 8.5" wide wheel (48mm offset) and could probably have fit a 9" wide version IF the offset were correct. An 8" wide wheel should fit wihout issues if the offset is between 40 and 50mm. You must also be cognizant of your tire size when combined with your wheel size. Tires will rub first. Tire size (width) with no fitment issues should be between 225mm and 245mm. With the correct offset wheels, 255mm width tires have been used with no issues.

Disclaimer-This is not a blanket statement of endoresement to any wheel/tire combo in the sizes above. You must choose what you are comfortable with and if they don't fit it is on you to make it work or deal with the issues. You may have to trial fit some wheels if you are concerned.

I've used wheels and tires on my SVX from 15"x7" (NOT a typo) to 17"x8.5" with tire sizes from 205mm to 245mm wide on the street to autoX courses with no fitment issues.
