electrical problem: car wont start

sort of..

when i go to turn the car on theres no electric so i pop the hood and wiggle the Fusible link around till the lights come on and it'll start.

this has been going on since sunday night. I never noticed my ground cable was wrapped with some electrical tape and thats practically all that was holding together.

my theroy is a bad ground cable caused the fuse to short?(and melt a little)

I ordered new battery cables from 1stsubaruparts.com cuz they were the cheapest for oem. turns out they are actually a dealer in washington. thanks to the forum search for the site.
i got 2 fusible links also just incase.

I took a pic of the fried fuse. I didnt think to shoot the negative cable.
