Re: New member thinking of buying first SVX...

Maybe once the 92's reach their 21st year then the way it works is that the model (subaru svx 92-97) becomes a collectors items.

I dont think its the case where the 92's become collectors items and the 97's have to wait another few years.

Dont know.

There's a big difference between a car being eligible for "classic" registration and being a collector's item. Unfortunately, being old doesn't necessarily impart value as a collectible.

I think in Georgia a classic tag is available on cars 25+.

In PA: Classic is 15 years. Antique is 25 years.

It doesn't work that way, I do know for sure that it goes one year at a time so it would be 92... then the following year 93.
I didn't realize it varied from state to state for a car to be a collector. Pretty sure it is still 21th year in MN, although I believe I can get classic plates a lot earlier.. I think its 15.

Re: Seller backed out...

Well for now he's keeping it...what a tease that was! Anyway, now I'm hooked...

So I am looking at a blue 94 LSi w/ 82K on the clock...not a pearly but looks very clean. Asking high 5's so I'm not real sure it's worth it. I will test drive it tommorow.

I would take that fine sexxy piece of ass blue one over the pearly any day. That SVX looks amazing, and hey then you get to have the 2nd rarest model SVX.

Just by knowing SVX prices and seeing as that SVX is like mine if its in perfect shape he's selling it for what its worth which would be mid-high 5s. If you can get him to sell it though for 5 even I think you'd both be making a good deal. The extra grand between that pearl and the laguna is worth it for a better mechanical, less body miles, rarer car. I'd jump on that.. in fact.. maybe I will.. if you buy it want to trade for my perfect ebony black SVX?? :P god I want a blue one now :'(
