Convert an LS to an LSi ???

If I buy an LS with 2WD and non-leather interior, does it make sense to shift my leather seats and AWD drive train to the newer car? I'd then move the remote received and control box as well, to giveme remote unlocking.

Possible?

The seats you can do... Mine came with cloth, and I put leather in it.

It can be done. The question on the drivetrain is : WHY? It will cost you more to do a xfr than to get an actual LSi.

WHY?

This next week I may purchase a 1994 LS with 21,000 miles on it. It's had Redline+Mobile1 since being broken in, and is in generally new condition. That should produce five reliable driving years -- I might as well enjoy them on leather seats and AWD. And, I'm installing a killer computer-controlled nitrous system, improved brakes, etc. to make it just what I want it to be.

This is a late 1994 - which means dual air bags and manual seatbelts. I've come to like those auto belts, and will switch them as well if it appears to be practical.

H,

you can switch the auto belts. I looked into that between my 2 cars although I hate them and would never do it. As for nitrous, the more I think about it, the more I want it now. Perhaps after I get rid of my beautiful 92, I might go that way on my 94

I thought only L trims are FWD on 92. I guess not. She has 2 airbags, 6 speakers, but no sunroof right? That's what I had on my red on.

This 94 is 2WD, and has an electric sunroof, but no remote doorlocks, no CD, no electric seat, and no leather. It also has no miles... 8^)

I'd swap the seats, and maybe the remote control unit, but I'd leave it a FWD, they're lighter, and have less tranny problems, and less HP loss through the drivtrain(therefore faster & better MPG), It doesn't snow there anyway does it?

FWD + NO2 = Tyre smoke.
