And I add: Why so surprised we have english signs all over? you expected Arabic? All the signs here are either in English or French, we can read that easily because all Lebanese are well educated.

We are the most country in the ME which follows the Western trends. You would be surprised to see the quality of our Night Clubs, Bars and Pubs.

From coast to mountains take no more than 45 mins. In the mid spring, you can go to the beach for swimming and then dress up for snow and go skiing in the afternoon.. Do you have this.. there

I replied to this also... and how are we driving on the wrong side of the road??? either you are located in UK or Japan, or you misunderstood the traffic lanes... I am going ahead on the right side and on the left side people are coming... Isn't the same over there???

As for the lines... you are right, when you used to be controlled by another country who is sucking all your country's revenues, how you expect to spend some money on building the infrastructure?

As for the looks of that Ferrari's side, well I took the picture from inside of my car, and you know the shape changed because of my fornt windshield...

It's hard to tell what side the road is on until you see that stray Bimmer (whatever the silver car is) off to the left.

I actually didn't notice. Looked like a one way street to me.

Don't worry about it, we drive on the same sides as you do, but without lines, or speed limit, or traffic regulation, or..... pretty much the roads are there and each on his own

Defensive driving EXTREM edition.
I'm still impressed by the quality of the road.
It's so shiny.

Hahahahaaaa, you think this road quality is good? You push the brakes, the car stops twice the distance compared to fresh asphalt. This road was done like 20 years ago and never refurbished again

Where I'm from you push the brakes and you hit a pothole.
And our roads are redone every single summer.
If you look at a major thouroughfare around here that is more than a couple years old, grooves have been worn into it that are deep enough you don't ave to steer. Just slide into the grooves and the car practically steers itself.

I'd kill a moose to have roads that smooth.

The main language is Arabic of course, as for the second language, here is the dilemma...

Most of the schools are French but most of the universities are English. All of the educated people can definitely understand and speak French and English. And believe it or not, the currency is not just Lebanese Pounds (or Lira in Arabic), but also US dollar. That's right, we are a dollarized country and our currency relies on US $, because it is more stable than the others in the World.

I personally went to a French school and then to an American University. You know Notre Dame Uni. right? this is mine right now . We do also have AUB (American University of Beirut) and LAU (Lebanese American University)....

You live in Alaska right? this is why your roads have a lot of potholes. The ice damages the asphalt and cause it to break. All our mountain roads which are 1200 meter and above are like this. They are asphalted like each summer also.

I am not defending myslef, I was just giving some additional info about the stupid road and traffic regulation qualities here.

Check my reply above concerning the ferrari wheels thing, I had a face then...
