Arrow SVX Wheels

Somehow I bent the inside of the right front wheel causing my tire to gradually lose air.

I was told that if the wheel is aluminum it can't be fixed, but if its metal it can.

Does anyone know what the SVX wheels are made of?

Aluminum is a metal

Seriously, wheel repair shops can do wonders with all kinds of wheels, including SVX wheels. Any decent shop will be able to repair your wheels.

I thought they were composite w/ a metallic paint job.

See...

In AMERICA we don't just give the title of any element METAL. We're talkin FORGED STAINLESS STEEEEEL,... and CAST IRON. YEAH! Those are real AMERICAN metals.

Aluminum? that's what they make beer cans out of for crying out loud!

Allright, allright fine, I'm done being a smart@ss now.

I'd just find a shop willing to do it for you. My room mate just had her stock Audi A4 rims repaired at a shop. PM me if you just want to buy a used one.

Actually, Aluminum is an American metal, because we're the only ones that don't call it aluminium.

Aluminum can be fixed by proper temperature ... but you need a balancing machine for it while subjecting it to excess heat...

Thanks for the info. For some reason 2 repair shops stated they could not repair the wheel if it was aluminum. I guess if it was a forged composite steel wheel (or something similar), they could repair the wheel.

rebending aluminum is a hard process to do... not all shops are skilled to do it. Over here i had a bend wheel on my VW MK1, the shop heated it up from the inside with a welding torch (from the inside not to cause a black residu on the outside) and kept beating it with a plastic hammer head (the one with a plastic head) until the thing got back to normal size...
then he sended it to a regrinder shop where he balanced it...
