Subaru & J D Power survey
A bit late, but the Wednesday 9 July issue of USA Today shows J.D. Power & Assoc. have placed Subaru 14th in initial delivery quality (266 defects per 100 vehicles, Lexus was 1st at 163, average was 273, in last place was Kia at 509). Subaru climbed to 1st in the lowest increase of problem issues after three years (at 34% while even the mighty Lexus went up to 58%).
two amazing things for me: 1. Buick came in at 179 (3rd place) in initial quality and only 38% three years out - in second after Subaru. 2. For the 3-year out data, Mercedes Benz came in last place 137% increase in problems, Acura was at 115%, BMW at 122%, Audi at 126%, Volvo and Mitsubishi at 120% So, if Subaru could just hire a few Lexus initial delivery inspectors ... |

Wasn't someone here thinking of buying a Landrover?
I think the survey says it all.
