Never saw that, Dr. Ball.

Is Dr. Leonard 'Bones' McCoy available?

I'd suggest Duck tape, but that would be silly. Now....zip-ties...uh....maybe.

Nonetheless, git well!!!!!

Re: I had an accident;

I have been so far removed from my SUX after blowing the last trans that I pulled my motor, drive train and HID lights just to spite the car , so I essentially never visit this site, until lately, and this thread is the first I have heard about your situation.

I've been going through something kinda similar that has required several surgeries, which has kept me from doing anything resembling actual work, and can totally sympathize. I have been blessed/fortunate enough to be in a line of work now that doesn't require much from me physically though.

I just read the whole thread, and I am quite pleased to find that the fruits of your awesome demeanor have yielded such a positive response from forum members. Life can really be taxing at times. I have been in your boat and it sucks to tread water in a sinking ship!

God bless, get well soon and I hope to see you again someday!

Re: I had an accident;

I had my third surgery (where they put you to sleep) and I am allive.
It started at 10:00 AM, was going to take two hours, but I really don't know?!?! Woke up very groggy at 3:00 PM and do not have a clue as to how long the surgery took, or if it was a success. No one that I asked knew anything about the outcome. I'll just call the Doctor's offine on the morrow.
Thanks Guys and Girls for all of your support, it REALLY means alot!

Thanks, Kid.
My hand hurts like an aching, throbbing, unloved, freshly diced, er, hand.
I called the hospital a little while ago and could only find out that the two hour surgery took about FOUR FREAKIN HOURS!!!!!
And I can find out nothing until tomorrow!
Great, THAT eased my mind.
More on this later.

Re: I had an accident;

Well, it has been hurting so much I thought I would pull back the Ace bandage to lessen the pressure.
Bad idea.
Now I can see where blood has bled/seeped through the gauze not only at my fingers but at my wrist.

If its cut to the wrist, then Im guessing that the tendons were completely severed and I'm just screwed!
This is the kind of thing that makes grown men just give up.

Re: I had an accident;

Ouch! And why didn't the staff tell you what was done? Not cool at all. Keeping fingers crossed for you (so to speak).

Re: I had an accident;

Went in to see the good Doctor today.
She changed the dressing.
Apparently I played pati-cake with a really good chainsaw.....

I have had lots of cuts, burns, broken bones,
no big deal.
This, however, is different.

This one is in the top three.

And that really says something...

Again I thank all of you for your support.

Original Tom...
