Looking for a winter car cover soon

We want to put our '95 away soon to protect it from salt road season and think we need a car cover as it will be parked under an elevated deck that acts as a leaky car port. Snow, rain and ice do blow in and drip down so we thought a really good cover would help preserve this car for many years. We have selected a WeathershieldHD at http://www.the-cover-store.com/CarIt...mNo=BA9B0B3B5C.

Is this over kill? Any other suggestions? We know cheap ones can scratch the finish and don't want that to happen. So is this one over compensation?

Thanx for any suggestions

You could buy a small temporary garage for half of that. Actually would one fit under the deck?

Re: Looking for a winter car cover soon

If where you are parking the car is on ground, i.e. not paved, then I would consider getting a low end tarp to put down first and then drive onto that. That should help reduce the amount of moisture rising from the ground into the undercarriage of the vehicle causing oxidation while it sits for the winter.

I have heard that even the best can wear the paint if left out in the wind, but if you end up getting it I would be curious as to what you thought. I have a similar issue, my car sits out year round.

Just ordered Item: 35FF7413 CoverMates Ultima Car Cover1995 Subaru SVX.
Not fitted but a nice soft cover with good protection. Final price with storage and securing clips came to under 200$.

and Thanx to all the ideas and suggestions. Really liked the inflatable but would like to see it in action outdoors in a Nor'easter with sleet and snow.
