window reg
Accidentally posted this in the "for sale" section but..............
question of theory,if i had a spare window reg. laying around. took my door panel off, unplug the mounted regulator and plugged the "loose" one into the harness. Would it work even though it's not mounted? (For an operational check) Edit/Delete Message |

Re: window reg
Here's what's going on... P/S window wont roll up or down, I can hear the motor engage in what i believe is the "up" position. I unplugged the motor harness to check the switch ( neither will work the window) and i have an alternating "hot" lite depending which position i have it in so the switch seems to function correctly. I plug the spare motor into the switch, it wont work either. soooooo i wired directly to the battery , spare motor works in both positions,,up and down and i believe the mounted one would to, thus saying i don't think the motor is and and the switch is not testing bad,,,,,,,ideas?

Re: window reg
seems the master switch will override the pass. door switch... sprayed some maf spray in it,, Q-tipped it up a bit to clean the button contacts and now it's working.
