Lets see, BFE could be Elko or Ely (great basin nat'l park - cool cave) Nevada.

South Tahoe

I'd throw South Tahoe in there too. It's beautiful scenery and recreation combined with a mini-strip of casinos and hotels for the night life people. And the roads in all directions are incredible.

They better count. If I can't use FUBAR or SNAFU to describe my projects, then I'm going to have to come up with something new.

Wendover (awsome speed but maybe too hot)
Reno
Las Vegas (fun but too warm in summer)
Moab (arches - yay)
West Yellowstone (I've been meaning to go there for years)
Denver
Salt Lake City (convenient I think)
South Tahoe
Ely (Great Basin nat'l park, big cave)
Redwoods in CA (ok, so it's way to the west, but I love the oversized trees)
Grand Canyon (I've always wanted to see it)

I'm thinking in order to get an itinerary started we should move on as to where this might take place.

The interest is at best luke warm right now and we will need lodging and activities along with some food planning.

But the first order of things should be to pick a place.

Are there any other locations to be considered before we put it to a vote?

I think we should be able to pick one of those for the location. I can't think of anyplace else that would be a good location.

How about a rolling tour of the west? One night in each place. We'll call it the SVXteme Western Tour. We'll live off of Red Bull and Pixie Sticks for a full week.

I'm all for it, I'm already a Red Bull fiend anyway. I don't think that the average paper pixie stix would tide you over Matt, you'd have to get the three foot long PIXIE TUBE OF SUGARIZED DEATH!!! LMAO

I'm down for a few of those spots...

I've been on Bonneville, and sorry, but I will never take my baby out there again. It took 4 weeks before all of the salt was off of the under carriage. Who knows what kind of damage it did.

If you guys think Reno, Lake Tahoe, Vegas, somewhere on the coast, or anything else that is a moderate climate and under 500 miles away, I'm down

Elko is a ho-dunk town in the middle of the Nevada desert. On my way home from picking up my car in Ohio, we stopped for gas and the whole police squad (3-cars) pulled into the gas station behind me and just stopped and stared at us. Great for high speed fun though just outside of town.

There's my small opinion. I'll shut up now until you guys get something planned

Is there anyway to vote for first and second choices or vote for all of them that we'd be willing to attend - one vote just doesn't seem like enough.

You may vote for as many as you want... we'll then do a run off and add any that may be mentioned ....

OK... should we start again?

If so.... Earl ! could you lock the thread and I'll start again .... ??
