Braking System Upgrade Questions
I've decided my next project is going to be upgrading some of the braking components in my car. I have done a lot of searching around the site looking for the best configurations. I have seen a lot of varying opinions, but think I have settled on a configuration.
I just wanted to run this past everyone and make sure this was a good combination of components or that I wasn't forgetting anything:
Does this look like a good combination of components? Is there anything else worth doing while I have the braking system ripped apart?

I'd say that those look like a good set of upgrades... My only inputs would be to ditch the "dimple drilled rotors"... There is no need for the dimpling, slotted will work perfectly and probably be alittle stronger under heavy load conditions... Also, you might want to look around for the best deal on Stainless Steel brake lines... I know dayle can be alittle bit more expensive on ceritan things for the SVX. I got my TWR Stainless steel lines from Prestige Subaru in Asheville, NC ALONG WITH two bottles of Motul 5.1 brake fluid, all for $79 SHIPPED!!! TWR sells SVX brake lines for around $89 if I'm not mistaken... So look around, that is unless you don't mind paying alittle more

I bought all 3 items from raceconcepts and got an svx network discount. They have Axis ceramic pads. If I had it to do over I might get greenstuff brake pads for less dust. Also get a can of brakeleen. I got the blue high heat brake fluid on sale at subaruparts.com

Is RaceConcepts still making SS lines for the SVX? When I looked around on their site, I didn't see the SVX listed.
Are the Axis pads equal in quality to the Akebono? Who should I talk to there about a svx network discount?

Also, how many bottles of brake fluid does the SVX take?

I sent RaceConcepts an email a few days ago, and have not heard back yet. Is there a better way to get in touch with them?

Thanks for everyone who offered input! I went ahead and ordered the whole package from RaceConcepts. I'm looking forward to this upgrade... my front brakes are starting to go!

I'm not sure why they aren't listed on their website with the rest of the brake lines, but they do still sell them.

How much did the whole race concepts run?

$422 shipped to 19460. That's 4 slotted rotors, 4 Axxis Brake Pads, 4 Stainless Steel Brake Lines, and a bottle of ATE Super Blue Fluid.
You can send an e-mail to sales@raceconcepts.net to get a price quote since not all of these items are shown on their website.
