Question fwd vs awd

i notice on the specs i see the 0-60 and the gas milage is the same in a fwd as the awd but the awd has more weight and more to do mechanically, how can this be accurate.

what one has better milage? power?

the front wheel drive has less weight to carry

the awd has all wheels pushing the car

so now i ask does it make that much of a difference what version you drive?

I would think that the awd would get slightly worse gas mileage than the fwd version because of more parts, driving all 4 wheels, etc. Usually with AWD cars compared to FWD, the AWD are quicker, but the FWD cars are faster (correct me if i'm wrong).

It doesn't really matter which version you drive, it's really all opinion. FWD will spin tires, AWD won't (in dry conditions, usually ). So, yeah, it doesn't matter a whole lot. Oh, and also the FWD L versions have cloth/no alarm/no sunroof etc. whereas the LSi AWD version comes fully equipt.

Actually, it was in the car when I bought it back in December, so i have nothing to compare it to. I'm sure that other members on this site have upgraded to K&N filters and should be able to answer your question.

The lower gearing in the FWD is gonna negatively impact the mileage, no?
