Hello again

I have been looking to see what a tune up should run me and what type of spark plugs should I have the mech use. also what should they due to her durring the tune up. My mech told me around $350 and it seam a bit high. Some help would be nice.

Significant Technical Input
Tune-up is really kind of a misnomer these days. The on-board computer actually 'tunes' the car constantly, if it's functioning correctly.

Typical maintenance would include spark plugs, clean throttle body, change fuel filter, check air filter & pcv valve, clean battery terminals and at the shop I run a 'Quick Comprehensive' test on our diagnostic 'machine'. Book pays 3.4 hours for that. Away from the dealer you'll pay much less, probably.

Any brand name spark plug should suffice, just don't get suckered in by Split Fires, etc. If I remember correctly the SVX probably came with single platinum plugs. Here's the factory recommendation: NGK PFR6G-11 or NIPPONDENSO PK20PR-11 .

Hard to say from here, not knowing car's service record. Main thing is to stick with the factory recommendations. Change oil every 3,000 miles, no matter what the factory states. Going beyond that is ridiculous, but the factories know that it will take longer than the warranty period for the engine to be affected. Get an auxiliary tranny cooler and external filter, if you haven't already done so. Don't let a bunch of little things go until they add up to a nightmare. Be wary of advice you receive over the internet...
