WOOHOO! Any body-shop guys here?

http://www.subaruparts.com/diag/?mod...category=520-A

I have rust starting on the right quarter panel of my car, just behind the right-rear tire and just above the bumper cover. I suspect this is due to the previous owner's accidents, of which there were 'several,' according to the insurance company's research of the car. I assume the panel was crumpled badly enough that the zinc plating had to be ground off in reshaping it. So, don't worry - if your car hasn't been in any accidents like that, you have no rust to worry about.

Anyway, I am thrilled to see I can buy that whole panel, have it be repainted, and have the same rust-prevention as the car was built with. BUT, does anyone know what it would cost me to have this panel installed on my car? I assume it's welded in and not bolted.

Thanks.

Nick,
I'm also thrilled to see that you can get the whole panel. I know how much you were stressing (I still haven't changed my tail light bulb). You may want to ask Dough Mohr -- he's our "resident paint and body dude, having previously owned a shop.

You must be a total wreck. Jeez, I'm so glad my problems don't nearly amount to changing a friggin' bulb.

I'm stressed, but not too badly -- I'm just glad I didn't blow my engine this weekend (story to be posted in another thread).
