Front grill + shops in Europe
Hi there, my name is Peter and I am from Czech Republic. I have just bought 95 SVX. I would like to buy new front grill for better cooling and maybe some other staff but I can not find any shops with SVX accessories within Europe. If you have some tips, thanx for advice.

Hi Peter
Welcome in the Forum. I coming from Switzerland and drive since 1998 the SVX. Unfortunately it's very diffucult to find any stuff for our SVX in Europe. They don't sell him very much here. Our USA friends have a lot of possibilities. Take a look on this page: http://store.yahoo.com/svx-motorspor...ies/index.html I ordered there already things. Service is very good, Dayle sells all over the world. Only stuff what I could buy in Switzerland was other rims and airfilter. Originally parts like '97 frontgrill, spoiler etc. can still be ordered in Japan through your Subaru Dealer. Greetings Kusi |

Welcome
Hi Peter
You are very welcome on the Network. Nice to add another country to the Net. Hope you enjoy your car, they are a lovely drive. You can get parts from Japan, a few places there do upgrades, but any prices I have seen look to be from high to exhorbitant. Dayle's prices inthe US are good, and shipping is not expensive if the items are not too big or heavy. If you check this Forum, you will see there is a number of people planning to ship English language manuals from Australia. The price for a '95 would be in the region of 200 Au$. This is pretty cheap, do you want to add your name to the list?? Good to have another member posting on this side. Joe

Hi Peter,
Welcome to the site. Are you looking for the repair manual or the operating manual that describes controls and routine maintenance? If the latter, I got one from one of the UK Subaru agents - Bell & Colville 0044 1483 281000. Cost about £12. Good luck and enjoy the car! |

Hi there :-)
I am not fully enjoying my car yet, it spends more time in service because I want to make it just wonderful and reliable (it set one year at garage). It has vary bad paint so I think to paint it compleetly. But here is dilema, leave it at original color - Burgundy or use yellow paint (which I like more)? :-) There is fight inside me. What you think? Also absence of english manual hurts, I have only german one. :-( Peter |

Faint, this is new word for me :-) but part of my friends have same opinion. I bought this car to have some very very rare car (in Czech Rep there are only 7 pcs and one of them stays in front of my house :-)) and keep as original as it could be, but imagine this car in yellow, I saw some pictures which hit my heart. But on the other hand to make the paint 100% I should also paint engine space, it means put the engine and all stuff out which could cause some demage (and cost a lot of money)...
Paint whole car and lef engine space in burgundy is sin :-)) I think I will re pint it at same color... Peter |

Faint means fall down, collapse. He is allergic to yellow.
I agree, if it needs a respray, do it in the original colour. Leaving the engine bay a different colour is, as you say, a sin, and worse, it will devalue your car. Can you specify if you require the Owner's Manual, or the very very large Service Manual? Joe

Hi Joe, I only need original User Manual in English, this thing you get when you buy new car. I already ordered service manual but I do not know if it would be good for me because I am not mechanic. But I will try. Just if you have some English one I will take it both my hands. I will paint it in original color of course (I will not make a hybrid from me beloved toy) but still dream about the yellow one :-) (but original no re-sprayed) :-)
