you never know do you....

until you try........with negative thinking like that
we'd never get anywhere in life would we......the ones
who succeed and get further in life are the ones who
take chances.....try new things.....and have an open
mind. Im not saying its a done deal.....all Im saying is its
worth TRYING....and thats what I intend to do regardless.
Also.....you using the "ricey" term a little loosely here....
anything that came stock on any car (OEM) has no reason to be called
ricey...so get over it. I think Subaru should of made that talon style wing for these cars from the beginning. A similar style wing was designed by FORD back in 84 for their new SVO program and for their 84-86 Mustang SVOs (which Ive owned a few and love!)and was also proven to be functional, (ala Cosworth Ralley cars in Europe) That would be like saying the front
end Steve made for these cars is ricey.......and its far
from it. But then again......its my car isnt it and Im not doing it to please anyone but myself. If others get a chance to see what it looks like and they like the idea....then its good for them too

Parachutes are like minds, they only work when they are open.

Dayle,

This one might be a little small on the SVX but this is the most JDM looking wing I can find for the SVX. I might go and look around for one in the junkyard and see if it could fit on the SVX.

Check it out.

Lwin

ps. I do believe in experimenting with the SVX.

Hey Solar......blow me! First of all I take all opinions just fine...Your just maybe butt hurt because I found a small flaw with your reasoning of why it might not look good...which btw I could really care less about your opinion anyway. I can already tell that your new here and are the type who likes to start flame wars so Ill let you down now nicely....dont even try. As for having cars in mags whatever!!.....dont even try to impress me.....If you want to impress me (or us for that matter...) learn how to spell !! That would be impressive! As for any response you might post.......dont bother, I wont respond to your immature games.
My cars and history of what Ive owned and built speak for themselves.

First of all, getting "nasty" isn't going to A) Change anyone's mind, B) Make the Network a better place. Let's play nice, guys. Oh, and in my experience, "blow me" has never managed to END a flame war. It's all good, guys. March to your own drummers.

this fairly off topic for this thread but...

Hey Dayle I have a question, i notice in your garage you have a 70 Boss as well you have owned other mustangs. You have also mentioned things about American muscle cars before in other threads. I myself used to be hard core into American muscle but I now find that any real American muscle these days is not in a reasonable price range and that is why i have shifted heavly towards the technology and power of the imports, (and by imports i dont mean civics, i mean Audi, SVX, etc,) I was just curious why you also have seen to got into imports, or if I am wrong and you always have been. Just curious.

Ill try to keep it short and you can always email me directly if you need more info...but, fate has it I grew up in the late 70s and 80s...Ive been a muscle car fan since a kid, and thats all we knew growing up ( the Mustang was just the car I grew alot of respect for) my mom had a 69 Mach I with a 428cj, a 65 Shelby GT350, and my step dad had a 68 GT Mustang 428 car......so that explains that. My first car was a 71 Cougar ($800 car).....then I stepped up to a 70 Cougar Eliminator in 1981.....slowely restored it and drove it for a few yrs.....by then the Mustang GT was making a STRONG comeback starting 82.....I only had money for a used 80 Capri turbo 4 cyl...but my friend bought a new 86 Mustang SVO....and thru the 80s it was mostly Mustangs, GNs....and Camaros ruling the streets.....but I was accepting the newer cars for being the wav of the future (we were getting lots of HP....great mpg and better handling then the older car...so why not, right..?) I started my shop in 1990...and by mid 90s was able to buy my 70 Boss and started to restore it....I mostly drove either my 84 GT turbo conv stang or my 86 Mustang GT conv 5.0 as dailey drivers ....Then with all the import stuff really taking off by mid 90s....I decided to buy an import to fix up as a shop car ( but nothing like everyone else had.) and just on whim decided I wanted an SVX knowing NOTHING about them.....I found one on a used car lot here in town and bought it.
From there it just grew ...the Svx really sold me into import thinking.....and then I found out about the Soarer and it turned into my next Project car to help promote the shop even more...
Never in 100 yrs would Ive of thought Id be owning these cars even 10 yrs ago.....but Im glad I do. My roots are still muscle cars and Ill always have at least one or 2 in my garage Sorry its so long.....but it explains it the best.......dg
(past car have been 66 Cyclone Gt conv......71 Torino GTs and many others....)

i still dont see it

Hey Solar......blow me! First of all I take all opinions just fine

motorsport dont need to get your pantyhose in a uproar,, looks like u need to go to car anger managment 101

as for the wing, i dont see how its worth the time and effort , u have to refiberglass MAKE CUSTOM BRACKETS , and rebondo holes just for a wing u got off another car ,should just buy one that u know that fits, without the hassel , most of the replies to your post agreed that it wouldnt look right,

LOL as for being a newbie,, if ths is the way newbies get treated I will hapily remove my self from this site, i thought svx owners where a bit mature then normal car clubs like hondas and all guess just a few bad apples,

motorsport guess we got off on a bad start, but if u cant take opinons, maybe should seek some help or maybe i will keep my opinions too myself from now on,

But mark my word, i will have a 1970 440 6 pack GTX before i am to old to enjoy it, or maybe a 71 Hemi Cuda (1 of 3) yea right!

boss needs a little work......

their dayle? that cougar looked really cool.

i get what you are trying to do with the talon wing. i think it will come down to is all the effort worth the conversion. that style might look cool though. the dodge stealth has a similiar wing and that car is really wide. my suggestion would be to take the wing from the stealth.
