My car is much, much happier at highway speed+, and content to run there for hours.

(At 65MPH, she seems downright grumpy.)

agreed, more people need to realize the true nature of the SVX, A Grand Tourer, meant for sporty looks, good acceleration, and plenty of power when needed.

TomsSvx,

Your last post seems contradictory to the majority of the work you've done on your svx. Maybe I am just playing devil's advocate but, you state that the svx is not a sports car but a luxury coupe....haven't you done considerable work in trying to make the svx a better "sports car" i.e. cams, suspension, 5/6 spd conversion, turbo/supercharger... I am just a little confused based on the majority of the statements you've made on the network. And it makes me think that after having invested all that time in upgrading certain aspects of the svx have you come to a realization that the svx was just not meant to be a full bore sports car?

No, Tom has said all along that the SVX is not a Sports Car, Tom, like the rest of us though, is an enthusiast and wants to extract everything he can out of the SVX. Just because a car isn't classified as a "sports car" doesn't mean you can't enjoy it.

The tribeca on the other hand, is just the ugliest vehicle to come around since the wheel was discovered from Elephant dung. That SUV is definately an "acquired" taste.

What were they thinking?

I don't agree. I think it looks great up close in person. The black tribecas and black STi's for 06 look awesome.

I think it's beautiful compared to every other SUV out there. Other than Infinity, nobody but Subaru makes a nice looking 7 seater, imo.

Okay...so the reporter guy doesnt know squat about the svx...but who does? (other than us?)
I dont care, let him present totally incorrect information about the svx, the opinion of some NYC writer dipass****face****headeatingfaceassface guy (wonder if theyll autoasterik that) doesnt matter to me.

On a lighter note...I dont like the tribeca much either.

yeah, its a luxury touring coupe..Like a cadillac elderodo with the northstar v8.Speaking of cadillacs and enthusiests enjoying their cars , making them do what they really werent supposed to Check this out.

Personaly I like it, pictures don't do it justice for sure, and besides the Aztec was a much uglier vehicle then the Tribeca is.

Yeah. I have an 89 brougham.Prettymuch the same but no astro-roof, no comercial chassis, and a little more....daily driver old ladyified. The 500 is still a (nearly) direct swap that Id LOVE to do that to. I like how the guy added almost all "stock" accents like the emissions sticker and stuff. Only question would be....which car would be the weekend driver? SVX or Caddy?
