I don't have one personally, but have known a couple of guys who've had them installed. Just make sure the shop that installs it knows what it's doing. I've hear horror stories of electical gremlins after such installations. You might try a search on the Yahoo archive for some folks who've done the install. I know Frank Bartl had, not only a remote start, but, the kind you can start your car with a telephone call. But, alas, Frank bailed on us after an embarassing "tire pressure" discussion. You might try KuoH3 on the Yahoo site. I think he's either installed one or has researched it.

Frank recommended that you check your tire pressures while your tires are "warm." Everybody knows that tires need to be "cold" when you check pressure. He was embarrassed when "several" members corrected him.

i have a remote starter. it was installed about 5 years ago. never had a problem with it. really great in the winter, you don't have to freeze your butt off, just point the remote out the window and press the button, that's it. it stays on for about 10 minutes bofore it shutes off. i really like it. i say go ahead and get it. i paid about $125 to get it installed. i also have an after market alarm system, but that's a whole other story.
