I went to an auto-cross today

No - I didn't run the baby. I still have the screw in the tire. No kiddin'. That's my excuse to wimp out. The event was at Ft. Meade, MD & BMW sponsored, meaning 75% of the cars were bimmers. Best time (I'm leaving the tenths out), was by an early 90's M3 at 53+ seconds. A couple of WRXs did around 56-58 secs. (It's 30% car, 70% driver).The fun car for me was a souped 96-97? Impala SS that turned around 55 secs. What a pleasure to see & HEAR this 3 ton beast kick a lot of BMW butt. Another wild sight was a Hertz RENTAL Lincoln with 5 Chinese youngins' aboard turning about 62 secs. I think dad told his son to take it to the car wash - be back before 5:00. Surprise, dad, we really cleaned the sidewalls! Three Honda S2000s ran. They're now known as Spin-a-lot 2000s. ALL of them did 360s in at least one heat. Definately the NEW Mustang. Well - nothing here SVX related. Just to say I had a good time around automobile enthusiasts on a lovely Sunday. Ron.
