They closed the event early for the first time in it's 27-year history, because of rain. We happened to leave just before it hit.

Pictures are 800x600 because they make such cool wallpaper!

Well, at least I've found a color I hate worse than yellow. Well, color combination: Peach and Seafoam Green (yuk!). Nice car, but, the colors. Icky!

Agreed on this Randy.

I am a fan of some, indeed most yellows, but this combination is a little too radical, even for an ice cream truck. Icky, even.

Actually 'Peaches and Scream' was one of my favorites. It was quite fetching.

I posted four more pix. Included is a real nice 3-window coupe. Sure to be a Kentucky favorite. I also have another pic of the lovely Buick, and don't miss the Tiger.

I enjoyed the photos very much. Thank you. Where was this "Frog Follies" rod & custom show ? Can you tell us a little about it?

The Frog Follies is a pre-1948 rod show, which began in 1975 with 41 cars. It is located at the Vanderberg County 4H Fairgrounds just outside Evansville, Indiana (also home of Autofest). It has since grown exponentially, this year hosting somewhere around 5000 cars. (I haven't heard an actual total for this year - that's an educated guess.) Proceeds from registration and spectator fees are donated to various community charities.

Evansville goes back in time for the weekend, with street dances, cruise-ins, etc. - except that there was never really a time when rods came together in such numbers in the 40's and 50's, oh, and BYOC (bring your own chick). All in all, it's an amazing weekend, and a darn fine time.

Sharon and I were there for about 1 1/2 hours (I had to work that afternoon) and shot 53 pictures. Three of them weren't worth keeping, out of focus or whatever, but I ended up writing 50 to a CD.
