Yikes, Kev. I'm at 20-22 drivng to work (combo city/country), 25-27 on the highway.

Be careful about running out of gas. Many have ruined fuel pumps by allowing the car to run empty. Not an inexpensive venture.

I have never seen my low fuel light come on either. I'm one of thos paranoids who fills up before the tank hits E. Though I know you can go nearly "forever" after the SVX hits this mark.

My '92 doesnt have 4WS but when I hit the brakes at a very high speed sometimes I don't even think I have 2WS.

Ain't that the truth.

Brakeout

Hi Wayne

You're supposed to caress the brakes at high speed, not hit them, you know. Unless of course there is something unhealthily solid looking coming your direction!

If it is going out of kilter under heavy braking, make sure all your tyres are worn fairly evenly.

If not, replace a full set, and make sure you have the wheels aligned with a 4 wheel laser system. If the alignment is badly out, she will pull all over the place on you. {Potholes and bumps knock them off alignment}

Joe,

Thanx, I was mostly kidding though. She only vibrates a bit. Warped rotors. Just adding my $.02 to add humor. But thanx for the advice. I will store that in the old Oracle Brain Data Base for future reference.

Geared up

No need for the pub, Don.

You remember the movie A Clockwork Orange?

Well, I'm the original Clockwork Banana.

I go on a bender when they wind me up.

Talking

Oh boy, things are careening out of control pretty quickly
Driving my car up the hill away from my house again first thing this morning, I don't think it's the tranny that's indecisive, I think my engine was hesitating

Hiting or Mything

Hiting or Mything a Clockwork Orange is all dependant upon whether or not one's passive 4ws is acting all horrorshow or not... if the former, everything is great, and Bog be braised. If the latter, then it's time for a bit of the old ultraviolence.

(I couldn't resist).

And, about my reference to 4ws, "I'm sorry to Dimitri"

If you think the car has a problem, BadDog, don't worry too much about it until you are more familiar with it's characteristics. Hesitating when cold,[or hot] can be caused by a number of things. A lot of them minor.
You may be using substandard petrol, the car needs high grade at 10:1 CR. If this is the case, the cure is you need to fill an empty tank with good gas, clear the memory of the ECU, [lots of posts on this] and drive the knickers off it so it understands you need it to GO!!
You might also need the throttle body cleaned.
You should also check when it got a new air filter element.
There can also be a problem with the Throttle Position Sensor, TPS for short. Some clean them, some replace them.

Don't worry too much. Observe exactly what it's doing and when, post a request, and somebody will have an idea.

Joe
