Is the trunk supposed to pop?
Is the trunk supposed to pop up a little when you pull the trunk release or turn the key to open it? Mine doesn't, and I'll have to say it's a pain to open, especially if I don't have both hands free- one to turn the key and one to pull up on the trunk.

The trunk is supposed to release, not pop up. The trunk is quite heavy (heavier yet with the spoiler)
I have had an SVX both with and without spoilers, and have put new trunk struts on each one. This makes it very easy to open and close but in no way causes the trunk to pop up when the latch is released. When I pull the trunk release inside my car, I can go outside and lift the trunk with one hand. If I release the latch with the key, it will stay unlatched and you can still lift it with one hand. It shouldn't take both hands. .

And remember that if you can't open it from the latch inside the car, the little latch is moved down and prevents it from opening that way. Just open the trunk with the key and then move the lever back up.

Crap I was using my trunk lid to do my bicep curls. Is that not what it is for?
It is so Solid feeling.
