Dayle, you've had that Soarer for a few years now, haven't you? I take it your connections helped with ease of importing it, but still not real simple? I'd love to see it if I ever get around to visiting a family friend in Phoenix! Are those rims finished in anthracite or opal or graphite... or something? I really like the slightly darker finished and semi highly polished look on rims.

my 928 was an auto, one of the fastest autos in the world at the time. it set a few land speed records for a stock production car at the Salt Flats.
A buddy and I imported 3 of them....we each kept on
and sold the 3rd. I paid $7500 for the car on a used car lot
in Okanawa bone stock with 70k miles on it.
Cost to ship over here was about $2500, and cost to make
it US legal was about another $7500.....
So I had less then $20k into it to make it legal etc.
Since then Ive sank more into it then I care to remember
But its been worth every penny.

Your Soarer is beautiful, Dayle! The wheels look like they match the paint on it. The interior is incredibly classy and stunning. Would you mind sharing the performance specs of yours with us lesser knowledged folk when it comes to Japanese spec cars? Hell, I don't even know if it is AWD or not but I am guessing not since I don't know of any Toyota or Lexus AWDs except for the new Matrix (not counting all the 4WD's they make).

2.5 Litre 1Jz engine, twin turbo, the little brother to the well known 3 litre senquential that comes in mkIv's. 280hp, but dayle im pretty sure has some HKS twins, he atleast has a fmic and supporting mods so id say hers in the 3-400 range.

Wow! I would have figured it to have a twin turbo'd 6cyl in it like the Supra engine or something. I am going to have to do a little Googling today to glean some more info.

I yanked the factory twins in replaced them with a large
single. It dynoed about 530 w/o the spray @19psi.

Heres a link that tells more about the car and some pics

http://www.speedoptions.com/articles/2531/

It has an air ride suspension, but its back on the TIEN
adjustables....
