Oh yeah. I meant to add that my SVX pulled to the right before I put on the new rotors and brake pads - but now it doesn't. I have since noticed that the steering wheel is no longer perfectly aligned though. Fortunately, that's an easy adjustment (I think).

Check your air pressure. If still pulling/drifting try swapping the right side tires only front-to-back and drive again.

Other suspects are:
Two right-hand tires with similarly offset belts
FWD models experiencing torque steer (if the pull only occurs under acceleration)
AWD models with bad rear drive (ditto)
Worn and/or notchy front suspension joints
Front suspension bent to the point that the S.A.I. is way off
LF caster greater than RF
Rear toe off so far as to cause dog-walking or forklift steering
Power control valve in rack defective (center wheel, start engine. if the wheel jumped slightly to one side this is a problem)
Passenger needs to go on diet (but you didn't get that from me - if you tell them that you're on your own! )

The reason I asked about the aftermarket rims was due to my bad luck with a set of Fittipaldi Polaris wheels that were SUPPOSED to fit the SVX. They didn't. The car pulled to the right like crazy, and we tried every form of wheel/tire switcharoo and black magic we could think of at a very highly rated tire and wheel store. The minute we switched back to the stock wheels, everything was fine. Come to find out, the wheels were not an exact fit.....correct me you experts out there....they weren't "hubcentric" ? Is that correct? Anyway the wheels didn't line up with the studs and hub correctly.

I still have them if anyone knows someone who might be interested. They were for a Nissan 240SX-SE.

I believe hubcentric rims need a little black plastic hubcentric ring in order to fit properly. Basically, those rims WILL work with an SVX, but bolting them to the car will not center them... you need hte little plastic rings. Go get some and retry.

Pardon my ignorance, but where might I purchase these things? Contact Fittipaldi and explain the problem?
I'm surprised the wheel and tire store didn't inform me of that.

My new rims came with hubcentric rings specifically for the SVX size. But these wheels, like our stockers, were designed to be only hubcentric and had a groove cut inside where the ring mounts to insert them via a large snap ring.

You might talk to Todd about getting some custom ones made for your particular rims though, I know that is what he did for his.

well, my car actually usually pulls to the left, although it goes to the right sometimes. Don't know for sure if this is true, but my dad had told me at a younger age that car's suspension was tuned to have a average man's weight in the left side, so the left side's suspension was a bit stiffer than the right....but then again, in other countries, they drive in the right seat, so maybe the right is stiffer than left.... this may account for some drifting.

The parts are the same, left to right.

None of our SVXes pull right or left. They all heve stock wheels & tires. All 3 cars are sensitve to road slant. The 92 is most sensitive. I just assumed that this was because it had the most worn tires. I have had no alignment problems.

My car has always braked and tracked straight during heavy braking. It tracked off when the steering box had too much back lash. The freeplay in steering wheel should be less than .62 inch. I did notice more road steer from concave pavement tire tracks when I got new tires, AVS db's as compared to the old Goodrich tires.
