Re: soon to be back in a SVX again

It has been fourteen years since she actually left. She left before that but I could not/would not see it. If I did not care for her I would be over it. I am profoundly changed. If you thought I was dark before,,,,,

Re: soon to be back in a SVX again

parked the SVX at 69,500 and have been DD the BRAT

picked this up at auction early this week:
1989 Acura Integra LS 2dr, 95,500 actual, automatic, clean title, and 100% unmolested speciman

gotta get it here, then spend a week detailing, then toss on Ebay.

Re: soon to be back in a SVX again

Been away for a while myself. I watched your progress with considerable interest. You seem very methodical. Your car looks great. The first one I ever drove was green, always liked the color.
I'm struggling with tire issues myself now, my '97 has different size tires than my old '94 did and I want the old larger size. I'm tempted to go to 245/50-16 just to fill the wheel well, but I'll have to sell the 225/55-16's that are on there now first. 1000 miles on them max.

Anyway, your car looks good and your close enough to me to appreciate how nice it is to see some robins in the yard now.

Re: soon to be back in a SVX again

put some new rear trunk strut cartridges on the SVX the other week. Washed it up, went for a afternoon drive, and it caught a rock. Chipped the glass on driver side. I stopped at napa on the way home, bought the rock chip repair kit, and immediately did the repair when i got home.

Have done a few things on the Acura, including rear hatch struts for it too. Changed the thermostat and antifreeze.
just got the title for the Acura Integra Thursday, and did the title transfer Friday. The oil change sticker on it said it was due at 97k, 9/2011. So today drove it 10 miles to go get a jug of oil, came home and changed oil in it today at 95,500 miles

-previous owner of Acura was the original first owner,
name on title was S. Anne Bullock it was the original title. So I am second owner, til i sell it
?could it be a famous Sandra Bullock? Who knows….

Re: soon to be back in a SVX again

Michelin wiper blades are JUNK.
don't even make contact right in the middle of the blade.
whole reason i drove my SVX today and not Integra, is because we are in the middle of 1.5" of rain, and the tires on the Integra are not newer, so took the SVX.
Well, those new wiper blades I put on just were not satisfactory. I like Michelin tires, but will never buy their wiper blades again, at least not for SVX. I think that is what I have on my CRX and they did just ok on it.

Re: soon to be back in a SVX again

I use OEM arms with "Narrow" replacement inserts. Work well and economic.

Re: soon to be back in a SVX again

Bosch Icons for me. They're a little costy but they clean very well and never float up off the glass at speed. I don't use them on Hondas though because Honda has that clever low profile blade. I buy refills for Hondas.

Re: soon to be back in a SVX again

The best wipers I have ever used are from PIAA. Across multiple vehicles they work well and for an extended period.
