Storms across USA

All here please be careful. We know that most of us here know how to drive in inclement weather and Subaru's AWD system is pretty good on snow and low traction surfaces. I'm not worried about our SVXes handling the weather. It's the other guys we must watch out for. So please stay safe.

Re: Storms across USA

While you guys east of the Mississippi are experiencing Winter storms, the West is experiencing some of its warmest and driest Winter weather ever. Far warmer than normal, like weeks above 50 degrees in January and February. The grizzlies are coming out of their dens early. Fortunately, we had a wet year last year which seems to have lead to a rodent population boom that'll feed the bears. Grass is growing. Whatever the cause, whatever you want to call it, it's not normal.
I'm definitely feeling Winter weather envy! Put your snow on the trains and send it West.

Re: Storms across USA

Hey! Send that cold out West! 60 degrees here, today, just outside of Yellowstone. A friend of mine is in Yellowstone today and told me the snow is melted between Old Faithful and West Yellowstone, a main route for snowmobiling. It's like Spring right now but it could be snowing by July 4th.

If it goes, I'll try to get in one more post so you'll have 10 seconds to gather up all the survival gear you'll need to survive the 4 year Winter that'll come from all the ash in the atmosphere.

Best thing about being close to a super volcano is not having to deal with the apocalypse after it blows. And my SVX will be dug up some day like the treasures of Pompeii.

Looking forward to seeing a pic of those wheels on your 97.

Re: Storms across USA

A bit of sun and melting this morning after a couple of more inches of snow last night however temps are heading for the basement as I post this. Very cold for the next couple of days then a wet snow or rain due Sunday. That is the worst scenario for overloaded roofs. Don't be surprised if you hear more about collapsed roofs Sunday PM or Monday.

Re: Storms across USA

If you replace the *s in the link with the right word, the link works fine.
