AMR doing another batch of Aluminium radiators

FYI, I just got a notice (and then placed an order) that AMR are doing another run of SVX radiators (they say 30 units). Link here:
https://amrengineering.com/product/1...r-oem-fitment/

AMR did a batch in mid-2018, and I didn't hear anything negative, although I know they've had unhappy customers in the past. Personally I've had a relatively positive experience dealing with AMR in the past (buying a set of coil overs from them).

Cheers,
Ian.

Re: AMR doing another batch of Aluminium radiators

Happy to say I received my AMR radiator + fans today. I've not had a chance to unbox it, or installed it. I'll do this over the next couple of weeks - weather permitting - along with the timing belt and major tune up items (I figure this will be easier with the radiator out of the way).

Cheers,
Ian.

Re: AMR doing another batch of Aluminium radiators

Mine arrived too. my second one. First one from last year working fine in other SVX. Should have replaced hoses at same time though because one blew open a few months after installation.

Do they still sell coil overs for the SVX?

Re: AMR doing another batch of Aluminium radiators

As far as I know they still do:
https://amrengineering.com/product/1...ing-coilovers/

Although they are listed as out of stock just now, AMR tends to wait for a few orders and building a few sets together. I got lucky when ordering my AMR coil overs since they had them in stock at the time and they where shipped with in two weeks.

Cheers,
Ian.

Do you recall what is being changed? I'll all for improvements, but cost reduction usually means inferior quality parts, or eliminating features...

Re: AMR doing another batch of Aluminium radiators

The aluminum radiator is now perfect and there are no modifications to be done.

Andy’s post was referring to changes in his coilovers.

Re: AMR doing another batch of Aluminium radiators

So the camber plates are going from AL to steel and the one-piece collar is going to a two-piece collar?

Both sound like downgrades to me...
