Have a problem that i cant solve

I have now change the ECU to uk car.
And i have repalace both knok sensors on the car. When i read the ecu its say no problem just normal chenck engine flash, when i try to read it.
This is aftrer a fail jump start in the winter and the fuse line blow. =(

So now i really dont know where to start to solve that engine cut when driving.(turning)

If i drive stragth forward the car go like it should. Higway drving is also not a problem,
But if i try to turn around a corner the engine gomes and go. Not died but its feels like all the power is gone in one sec and gome in the next.
Also if you drive strage a head and turn the stering wheel left and rigth i can feal power get low and strong.

Some one can help me?

Mine acted That way when my MAF was broke. just saying a guess. The guy checked it by running the motor and tapping on the MAF with a small hammer or the handle of his screwdriver. Could also be a wire being strained or pulled. Does it do it in both left and right turns? No expert just passing on what happened. To mine.

check all the wires in the wheel well for breaks/cuts

I have check the winring where the sterring rods are. And all here look good.
But i should take a look in the wheel well also. Thanks for the tips.

Its happen in both turns. I should look at the car on Tuestday.
But i should try the maff also.

Alex this going on and off, really sounds like the Torque Control is turning on and off.
Have a look under the dash, at the wires going to the ECU, there may be one that is turning the TC on and off, when you move sidewards.

I have take a look on my car today.
And i cant find anny lose wiring or something that the wheel go in to.
Also try to check this when the wheels are in the air and nothing happen car is running grate. And not cut. Only when the wheels are on the ground.

But i have now find out a way to get the error code on my car.
If i steer the car all the way to the left or right when i not driving (engine running).
the check engine light comes on. And goes off when i dont steer.

The code i get is 38 Engine torque control Wiring harness between ECU and TCU is in short circuit.

After i have check this and should drive the car to the garage (30min away) the enigne light stays on, and when i have drive a little the Antilock brake light comes on.

The Torque Control can only be turned on by a ground on the wire that goes from the TCU to the ECU.


Did you add this jumper wire to your ECU? if so it could be grounding the Torque Control from the Power Steering wire.
If you did this Jumper wire mod, just remove it and make sure that there is no wire connected to the Torque Control pin on the ECU.

Now i have try the car. And install the jump wire. (on my car the wire was yellow whit red stripe) the 4 wiring from the grenn/whie one top row.

But still the car wont go when i turn the steering wheel. It also feel little hard then other cars whit power steering. And after a 3min test drive the check engine light comes on. And the error is still 38.

No wrong wire!. It is on the row below that one. The white/green is in No.7, you need the Red wire in No.3, on the row below the Yellow/red.

You are my HERO Harvey.

I have test drive the car whit the right wiring now. And the car goes like Good. No jumping when turing the steering wheels.

And none check engine light. I have miss how fun its to drive little fast.
I have drive a suburban 6.2 diesel and the svx goes little better.

Thanks alot for helping me and have patience to hold out.

Now my plans its to replace the gearbox from a 5 speed form 2.5L.
And replace some gasked and shine up the engine bay in the winter.
