Seat mechanism

I have a 92 pearl AWD and it has an all-electric driver seat. The seat back rotation mechanism has somehow come adrift so that the only places it will lock are the forward and backward extreme positions ( ). Does anyone have any idea how I can make the least invasive entry to the mechanism - its all suede and leather and I can't see any simple access point. Any quick fix would be great as I don't relish taking the whole seat out.....!
