GD/B(02-07 Impreza) rack in CX(92-97)?

So has anyone checked if you can fit an GD or GDB or even STi steering rack into the SVX? I happen to have picked up a 06' WRX TR rack and if it'll work I'd like to just swap this inplace of my very badly in need of replacement/rebuild stock rack.

What they call it a vanity-plate. Shouldn't I be obligated to be vane with it?
